I hope everyone’s week is off to a lovely start!
Today, I am excited to share a guide to all of my favorite autumn spots in my hometown, Colorado Springs.
Let’s say you had only 24 hours to FALL in love with Colorado Springs, what would I recommend?
Read on for my guide to the perfect autumn day in Colorado Springs!
Step 1: Grab your plaid scarf, felt hat, and camera then hit the mountains.
Since Colorado Springs is located just at the base of The Rocky Mountains, we can (almost!) walk outside our back door into forests of pine and aspen. Late September and early October are the perfect time to take a walk in the Colorado mountains. All of the aspens change from bright green to mustard yellow which from afar, sprinkle the mountains with their gold color. Step outside, take a deep breath of the crisp air and enjoy the colors that will soon be gone.
Some favorite areas include, Palmer Lake Reservoir, Cheyenne Mountain, Garden of the Gods, and Manitou Springs.
Step 2: Drink afternoon tea at Wisdom Tea House
Wisdom Tea House is my absolute favorite place in Northern Colorado Springs to have afternoon tea. The Masala Chai Latte is my favorite because it tastes like autumn in a cup! It pairs perfectly alongside a big slice of carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. The atmosphere is cosy and inviting, perfect for a crisp fall day! I have spent hours upon hours here chatting and giggling with friends and family.
Step Three: Pick a pumpkin at a local pumpkin patch, then head to Monument Lake to watch the sunset.
Colorado Springs always has the most beautiful sunsets. Summer and into fall is the perfect time to grab some friends and family and watch the sunset, especially somewhere with lovely scenery! The sky seems to always be painted with bright pink, blue, and yellow, the perfect sight to finish off a delightful day in Colorado Springs!
Bring a thermos of tea to sip while the day comes to a close.
Colorado Springs is full of so many lovely spots to enjoy the fall! I am so blessed to live in a place where there truly is a cosy, autumn season!
